Quality at Aspen Tech
Though you and I may not always completely understand the inner-workings of many of the products we use, we can often recognize ‘Quality’ when we encounter it…especially if the product or service is in the area of our expertise or training. It is a pleasant and satisfying experience to use a finished product where design, technological implementation, ergonomics, fit, and aesthetic finish all synergistically come together to create functionality, durability, and pride to the seller and to the buyer.Someone once said, “‘Quality’ is when the customer returns…and the product doesn’t!”
At Aspen Technologies, ‘Quality’ means so much more! Quality isn’t just what we do; it’s who we are! Quality is about people. It’s a pride thing! And it is at the foundation of each unit process we perform; whether in Customer Service, Engineering & Development, Manufacturing, Finance, or Human Services, with the desired outcome in each to successfully meet or exceed all expectations and foster operational excellence.
But we all know this doesn’t just come naturally. Quite frankly, it takes a lot of hard work! Aspen Technologies’ ISO 9001:2000 based ‘Quality Management System’ and a dogged determination to follow it provides the framework for how Aspen Technologies does business. The design of this system is Total Quality Management, which requires the participation of every member. It strives toward long-term success through customer satisfaction and the loyalty it inspires, and when successful it benefits all members of the organization and the community.
Aspen Technologies’ Quality Philosophy is one of “Stewardship”, which includes:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who or what, is ISO?
ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 157 countries, on the basis of one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system.
What does the ISO name mean?
Because "International Organization for Standardization" would have different abbreviations in different languages, it was decided at the outset to use a word derived from the Greek “isos,” meaning "equal". Therefore, whatever the country, whatever the language, the short form of the organization's name is always ISO.
Why is it important for Aspen Technologies to be ISO Certified?
Aspen’s ISO certification provides its customers with the confidence that it is utilizing defined systems and procedures to ensure that the services it provides will produce the results that the customer requires. ISO certification is the international standard for best business practices.
